Our Story
Dan MacNeill founded this business after building his career in recruitment across highly technical, fast‑moving markets in the UK and internationally.
He began in Edinburgh with one of Scotland’s largest independent agencies, working in deeply niche manufacturing and technology environments. From the outset, Dan was hands‑on - delivering specialist, technical, and senior appointments and developing a detailed understanding of skills markets, candidate motivations, and what it takes to hire well in complex technical settings.
A move to Singapore broadened that perspective, providing international exposure across global hiring practices and cross‑border talent markets, and reinforcing the importance of context, culture, and clarity in senior hiring decisions.
On returning to Scotland, Dan focused on senior and technical appointments, partnering with organisations ranging from early‑stage start‑ups to multinational businesses. During this period, he built long‑term client relationships across high‑tech and engineering‑led sectors.
He later joined a London‑based global executive search firm as a Director within its technology practice. In this role, Dan delivered executive and board‑level searches across the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America, working closely with founders, senior leadership teams, and VC and PE investors supporting businesses at different stages of growth.
Most recently, Dan led the technology practice as a Director within one of Scotland’s leading independent executive search firms, working closely with founders, leadership teams, and investors across high‑growth and established organisations. This role further reinforced the importance of partner‑led delivery, clear judgement, and long‑term client relationships in complex and competitive talent markets.
Across every role, level, and geography, one principle remained constant: successful recruitment – at any level – is built on trust, judgement, and genuine partnership.
This business was created to reflect that belief.
